I am proud to announce that YoungBiz is now expanding into Indonesia. The country has one of the largest populations in the Southeast Asia region and is developing economically in some fascinating ways. Our partners in Indonesia are two dynamic young entrepreneurs who will lead the YoungBiz expansion within this territory. A YoungBiz learning center will open in Jakarta in early 2008. As I write, I am traveling to Indonesia to initiate training and marketplace activities.

YoungBiz presence in Southeast Asia began in 2001-02 with a few teacher trainings and youth programs in Singapore. We later assisted a government agency in Thailand with the development of an entrepreneurship curriculum and training methods for older teens and young adults. Today, YoungBiz has offices in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Indonesia, and we have begun some initial work in China.

Financial literacy, business, and entrepreneurship training is very important to the growth of Asian countries and for the free market societies developing rapidly within these regions. YoungBiz specializes in meeting these educational and economic needs and I feel positive that YoungBiz will continue to grow and expand rapidly within the Asian countries.
