Kenneth “Biznessmen” Allen, a Gary Indiana native and young entrepreneur, joined the YoungBiz Management team in 2010 as the Chief Operating Officer.

Ken created The Kenneth Allen Foundation for Entrepreneurship with a goal to create youth centers for entrepreneurship development in economically challenged areas. KAFFE Inc. has been recognized by Indiana Black Expo, Inc. the Indiana General Assembly, and the City of Indianapolis as one of the best entrepreneurship programs.

Allen was born and raised in an impoverished neighborhood in Gary, Indiana. Growing up in a single parent household, Kenneth defied national statistics for Black males and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School at age 17. Allen’s love for entrepreneurship began early. At 12, he started his first business venture, K.S. Candies, in his grandfather’s garage. Operating for more than six years, K.S. Candies ranked 79 out of 100 youth businesses in the nation according to Young Biz, Inc. He is Young Biz’s youngest certified instructor in the country.

Allen has received hundreds of awards such as Who’s Who Among Youth Leaders, the One Church One School Student of the Year, National’s Dean’s List and the 2004 Indiana Black Expo Entrepreneur of the Year. He counts among his proudest accomplishments, December 4, which was proclaimed by Indianapolis Mayor as “Kenneth Allen Day” for his outstanding leadership and success as an entrepreneur.

Kenneth Allen serves as a key leader for YoungBiz with his relation to youths around the world, his business acumen, training and communication skills. Mr. Allen’s success is also evident and proof that YoungBiz works having been YoungBiz trained when he was only 16 years old. Kenneth oversees the YoungBiz Indiana office and works side by side with the CEO to provide youth entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills.
