Sales Experience

Some of Casey’s exotic plants sell for up to $75, but most sell for $25 or less. She now grows enough plants to fill twelve 500-gallon holding tanks and earns up to $2,000 each summer.

Casey also provides a lot of customer service with each sale. “I load up my Tahoe with a selection of plants and meet the customers at their houses. I take pictures to show how my gardens are set up and give them pictures of the grown plants and information about water gardening.”

Casey has some experience working at a local nursery. This summer she is interning at the Tulsa Zoo in the butterfly exhibit, which, of course, includes a water garden. With all these opportunities and experiences, Casey’s sure to become an even greater success.
