USS Biz Trek Activity #10: Compare Sweet Treats

In this lesson, you have discovered that it is important to know everything you can about your competitors. Now have some fun visiting two competitors on the Web — Godiva Chocolates and Hershey’s Chocolates.

Look for the answers to these questions as you tour their Websites:

  • What do the colors, graphics, and text on the Godiva site tell you about their customers?
  • Does the Godiva product appeal to you?
  • What would you expect to pay for Godiva chocolates?
  • What type of customers would buy Godiva chocolates?
  • How is the Hershey’s site and tour different from the Godiva site?
  • What do the colors, graphics, and text on the Hershey’s site tell you about their customers?
  • Does Hershey’s information about making chocolate appeal to you?
  • How much do you usually pay for a Hershey bar?
  • What type of customers would buy Hershey chocolates rather than Godiva?
