USS Biz Trek Activity #24: Other Sources for Business Plans

There is no one right or wrong way to write a business plan, as long as it adequately covers the organization, marketing, and finances of your new company. There are dozens of places on the Internet to find business plan outlines. Below are listed three Websites that offer business plan outlines and/or templates. Click on each link and visit the site to see how they recommend writing a business plan. Look for things you can use in your plan, or consider using one of these plans if it fits your needs better.

Loggin’ On

Now that you’ve seen a few different types of business plans, it’s time to decide which one you want to use for your business. Break out your USS Biz Trek log and all your business plan notes and printouts. Which plan or outline best suits your needs right now?

Using the resources you’ve gathered, start writing your own personalized business plan. Most entrepreneurs write their business plans on the computer so they can update their plans as often as they like. Remember that a business plan is not just something you write and put in a drawer — it is your road map to success. As you continue through the rest of the USS Biz Trek lessons, add to your plan as necessary to create a final business plan.
