Get your radio career in gear with these tips:
- Listen. Turn on your radio and listen to the on-air people. What is it about their delivery that you like or don't like?
- Practice. Talk into a tape recorder. Then listen, and critique your voice!
- Speak out. Get involved in student council, drama club or any organization where you can speak in front of groups.
- Get experience. Older teens can call up a local radio station and ask if they need any student interns. Be professional and
work hard.
- Research online. Look on the internet at www.NAB.org. That's the website of the National Association of Broadcasters
(NAB). Check out their Career Center.
