Business Today is a one-semester curriculum that provides high school students with an in-depth look at business ownership. Using a real-world approach, students learn the stages of a business start-up and are prepared with a working business plan to begin an entrepreneurial venture — not “someday,” but today.
Business Today is aligned with the national standards for entrepreneurship courses published by the National Business Education Association (NBEA), as well as the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education (Columbus, OH).
Available Purchase Variations:
Student Guide – $24.99(156 pages)
As they progress through the nine units of study, students conduct real-world business research, develop business plans, create marketing materials, learn to manage business finances, and improve teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Because students do not write in this softbound textbook, schools can reuse books from semester to semester.
Leader’s Guide – $35.99(160 pages)
The Leader’s Guide provides up to 100-120 hours of entrepreneurship education, structured in 90-minute lessons with small group discussions and hands-on research. Every lesson provides instructions for at least 30-45 minutes of practice activities to be completed individually or in teams.
Workbook – $8.00(48 pages)
This power-packed workbook provides helpful worksheets and easy-to-use templates for conducting business research, writing a 22-page business plan, creating financial reports, and managing a business. At the end of the course, students keep their workbooks, which contain their business plans and goals for the future.
